EELC, on behalf of the Center for Environmental Transformation (CFET), has filed a lawsuit against both EMR Advanced Recycling, LLC, and the NJ Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for failing to protect Camden residents affected by multiple fires at its facilities. EMR owns and operates a series of scrap metal facilities along the South Camden waterfront, where it stockpiles large mounds of dismantled vehicles, scrap metal, and solid waste.
