NJ’s Environmental Justice Rules are here

EELC is pleased that the regulations of New Jersey’s long-awaited Environmental Justice Law have been finally adopted. These regulations make the EJ Law the strongest—and first—in the nation. The Law and regulations are aimed at addressing the pollution burden experienced by the state’s overburdened communities and making outreach and public participation in DEP’s permitting processes more accessible to these communities.
